Beyond Emotional Trauma and Recovery: Interventions for Healing and Recovery
This training is a follow-up to Emotional Trauma and Recovery workshop. Emotional trauma occurs when an external threat overwhelms a person’s internal and external positive coping resources (SAMSHA). An estimated 60 percent of adults in the United States experience an adverse life event (trauma) at least once in their lives. When unaddressed, people who experienced trauma can face poor health outcomes, such as mental health problems and addiction, increased risk of health problems and suicide. This training will go into greater depth regarding the trauma healing and recovery process and best practices for treatment of trauma.

- Traditional and adjunct trauma interventions
- Making effective referrals for treatment
