Introduction to Mindfulness
Mindful practice is “paying attention in a particular way; on purpose, in the present moment, and nonjudgmentally.” (Kabat-Zin, 1994).
The goal of mindful practice is a reduction of suffering and an increase in happiness.

- The definition and benefits of mindfulness
- Mindfulness “what” skills including Wise Mind, Observing, Describing and Participating (Linehan)
- Define and describe the three “how” skills including Nonjudgmentally, One-mindfully and Effectiveness (Linehan)
- Mindfulness movement, skills and resources
